AHE Announces The Heart Of Healthcare Award Winner

Developed by the Association for the Healthcare Environment and sponsored by Kimberly-Clark Professional, the Heart of Healthcare Award was created to recognize and honor outstanding frontline environmental services technicians who are making a difference in the support of safety initiatives and reduction and prevention of the spread of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs).
 
This year's recipient of the prestigious AHE Heart of Healthcare Award is James M. Carlin Jr., from Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. Carlin will be recognized with this award during EXCHANGE 2018, September 23-26 in Columbus, Ohio.

Carlin joins a list of prestigious individuals recognized with this honor. Previous winners include:
2016 - Jean Williams, Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster OH
2015 - Dorthy Huffman,Mercy Hospital, Fairfield, OH
2014 - Marvin Dennis, Floor Care Technician, Northside Hospital, Atlanta, GA
2013 - Jean Azor, Floor Care Technician, St. Joseph's Hospitals, Tampa, FL
2012 - Elsa Enriquez, UESW II, Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ

In addition to this prestigious award, the Heart of Healthcare Campaign provides education and recognition tools that offer vital support for best practices in cleaning and disinfecting the environment, as well as recognizing the frontline staff for maintaining a safe environment.
