According to reports from The Associated Press, union workers who clean airplanes at Los Angeles and San Francisco international airports will be handing out sanitary cleaning wipes to passengers at both airports tomorrow to bring attention to problems they say they face in doing their jobs properly.

They claim chronic understaffing and lack of equipment have left them with little resources to properly do their work. In some instances, they say they had to resort to cleaning restrooms with water because they had no disinfecting cleanser.

A union spokesman says the action is intended to also highlight the conditions baggage handlers, janitors and other airport workers face, including low wages, lack of health care benefits and understaffing.
