John Kirkwood, CEO of the American Lung Association (ALA), recently discussed the educational partnership that the ALA has with ProTeam, an Idaho-based manufacturer of industrial and commercial vacuum cleaners.

"We have committed to ongoing dialogue to constantly introduce new initiatives that will be both creative and educational," said Kirkwood of the ALA-ProTeam partnership. "We have already met for two brainstorming sessions and have come up with many exciting possibilities that we are now exploring. Some examples might include the distribution of tips to help improve indoor air quality, online interactive quizzes, and tips on how to clean properly. We are looking at both nationwide and regional campaigns."

Kirkwood, who has also helped the ALA forge partnerships with 3M and Honeywell Consumer Products, stated his desire to partner with other companies in the sanitary supply industry. "The American Lung Association feels that there are good opportunities to form corporate partnerships in the cleaning industry, such as cleaning services," he said.
