Anago Cleaning Systems (Anago), a commercial-cleaning franchise with more than 2,400 Unit Franchises throughout the United States and internationally, was named as one of the “Top 50 Franchises for Minorities” for the fifth consecutive year. The honor was published in the USA Today – Franchising Today issue on Oct. 24, 2014.
“We’re incredibly proud to be honored by this year’s USA Today – Franchising Today selection, as we have had a strong commitment to furthering the careers of minorities since our inception,” said David Povlitz, Chairman of Anago. “Our most important resource is our family of capable and growth-minded franchise partners, and our mission is the success of all our Franchise Owners.”
Now in its eighth year, the World Franchising Network completed an annual survey of the progress that minorities have made in the franchising community and recognized franchisors’ commitment to the recruitment and advancement of minorities for long-term success. Out of the hundreds of companies evaluated, 50 were chosen, and Anago was highlighted for its participation of minority groups among franchised units, and minority representation among senior management.
Anago’s inclusion is based on its numbers: Minority entrepreneurs own 90 percent of Anago’s more than 2,400 Unit Franchises. In addition, half of the Anago management team is comprised of representatives from minority groups.
“Our Franchisees’ entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated commitment to our customers, along with this recognition, proves that the Anago franchise model appeals to a diverse community,” Povlitz said. “We pledge to continue providing outstanding opportunities in the ever-growing, $100 billion commercial-cleaning business.”
Anago has been recognized for other achievements in 2014, including being named to four prestigious lists published by Entrepreneur Magazine: “Top Home-Based Franchises,” “Top Low-Cost Franchises,” the “Franchise 500,” and “America’s Top Global Franchises.”
Since its inception in 1989, Anago has continued to build new relationships within the industry, quickly becoming one of the most recognized names in commercial cleaning. The company has positioned itself on the fast track record for growth, opening more than 400 Unit Franchises in the past two years.
Anago plans to expand its Master Franchise territories into additional markets around the United States and internationally.
