Belle Aire Facility

Belle Aire Creations celebrated the latest expansion of the company’s Illinois operations with its new, sustainable Round Lake Park manufacturing facility at 30 Porter Drive. The company recently completed its move, following a five-month renovation of an existing facility; the project resulted in a state-of-the-art 33,000 square foot manufacturing plant and an adjacent 7,000 square foot office space that will bring together team members within the departments of Finance, Human Resources, Customer Service, Purchasing and Sourcing, Quality Control and Logistics.

The new manufacturing facility is only a short distance from Belle Aire Creation’s main campus and corporate headquarters, located respectively at 1600 Baskin Road and 1505 Reidel Road in Mundelein, Illinois. The new Round Lake Park facility quadruples the company’s current manufacturing footprint and will enable the team to meet the demands of current and future partners. As a result, Belle Aire Creations now has three times more pallet space to house inventory for partners and has shortened its lead times through enhanced logistics and increased shipping capacity. The project has created 15 new positions thus far, with additional new jobs and creative collaborations anticipated.

Richard David, Founder and president, states “We are committed to supporting the Lake County communities where we live and work. We look forward to building our brand in and around Round Lake Park. The Executive Board is dedicated to investing in our team members and facilities to innovate our products and services for the wellbeing of consumers, both domestically and globally.” “Round Lake Park is thrilled to welcome Belle Aire Creations,” says Mayor Linda Lucassen. “It is always gratifying when an existing company chooses to stay, grow and invest in the community. We appreciate the many new jobs that will create rewarding career pathways for local residents.”

“Projects like this have a huge economic impact and highlight the many ways in which Lake County is well-equipped to support growing companies like Belle Aire Creations,” said Lake County Partners president and CEO Kevin Considine. “We are seeing incredible advancements in manufacturing, and our strong talent pipeline is ready to meet current and future business needs.”

This new location allows Belle Aire Creations to better align its services with their trusted partners in the rapidly changing fragrance, flavor, and odor technology landscape. This strategic and longterm investment is carried forward with the implementation of newly sourced equipment throughout the facility including:

• Larger mixing tanks to increase batch ceiling capability by 45.4 percent

• Additional fork truck fleets to increase capacity by 28.5 percent

• New pumps to increase total pump inventory by 250 percent

Belle Aire Creations is committed to redefining the company’s DNA to become more sustainable. During the renovation process, the team pledged to have a positive impact on the environment by reducing Belle Aire Creations’ electricity consumption and carbon footprint. With the new facility, the company incorporated all new LED lighting to significantly decrease its energy use.

The company is also having a huge impact with strategic recycling efforts; on average, Belle Aire Creations recycles 14.9 tons or recyclables per month, and has also recycled 104.8 tons of steel, cardboard, plastic and wood to-date this year.

Jason Dhaliwal, COO of the company, notes “Our operations move to Round Lake Park is a momentous step in our strategic plan to support the community at large and bring forth continuous innovation and operational excellence. Belle Aire Creations has remained steadfast in our commitment to invest in future growth with the opening of this new manufacturing facility. We are grateful for the strong partnerships at the state and local levels, and we are excited to be a true partner of this community for many years to come.” “The steps being taken at Belle Aire Creations are truly commendable,” says Lake County Board Chair Sandy Hart. “Lake County has a long history of supporting sustainability, and we have the infrastructure necessary to help businesses minimize their environmental impact. It is gratifying to see how committed the company is to minimizing its energy use and keeping waste out of landfills.” On the heels of this recent operations expansion, Belle Aire Creations has also announced the relocation of its global headquarters and creative center to Libertyville, Illinois in 2022.

The new headquarters will be renamed as the “Creative Center of Excellence” and will retain and attract top talent by supporting the current and future innovation strategies for the fragrance, flavor, and odor technology industries. Stacey David, CEO says “We are thrilled to relocate our global and creative headquarters to Libertyville, Illinois. Our relocation to this cutting-edge facility will stimulate research for impactful fragrances and thoughtful flavors. The Creative Center of Excellence will make an impact in the Midwest as the first development of its kind in the industry. This space will allow our team members, partners and guests to engage and collaborate in a creative and inclusive workspace and foster a positive work-life balance.”
