Weigand is an instructor with the Restoration Sciences Academy (RSA), has been in the cleaning and restoration field since 1980, putting his restoration knowledge to work onsite at disaster restoration projects throughout North America and the Caribbean. He has served on the IICRC Board of Directors, and is the president of The Tri-State Restorers and Specialty Cleaners Association (TRSCA). He has trained several thousand students for the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), and holds several designations with the IICRC, the RIA and the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA).

Weigand will also serve as an advisor for the Healthy House Institute.
