Biological Cleaning Products Are Being Undervalued, Expert Says

Biological cleaners can be a cost-effective alternative to traditional chemicals for the facilities management industry, but their value is often underestimated, according to an article on the CleanZine website.

Dr Emma Saunders, general manager at Genesis Biosciences, said while
biological cleaners tend to be more expensive on a per liter basis, they can provide a better return on investment because they can reduce labor costs as well as protect assets.

The live bacteria in biological cleaners also have an advantage over traditional chemical cleaners because they remain in the application area after the cleaning process, continually breaking down the dirt.

Many chemical products only work during the brief cleaning time and once cleaned, the area immediately starts to get dirty again. This makes frequent cleaning necessary, article said.
