Brady, a full-line janitorial supply, equipment and foodservice distributor, recently announced its new charitable giving campaign “Brady Shines” as part of its 70th Anniversary celebration. On April 26, 2017, President and CEO Travis Brady awarded the first donation to Sunrise Mountain High School in Las Vegas. Accepting on their behalf was Principal Julia Llapur.
“We have a longstanding partnership with Sunrise Mountain High School,” says Travis Brady. “It seemed most fitting to make the first official Brady Shines donation to this deserving school.”
Meant to encompass all initiatives including monetary, volunteerism and more, Brady Shines is an education-focused program with monies set aside each year to support schools, youth organizations and any other program in need.
Sunrise Mountain High School will use the $20,000 donation to support their nationally recognized Aviation and Robotics Clubs as well as the after-school bus program. “Many of our students rely on after school buses to be able to participate in extracurricular activities,” says Principal Llapur. “The support from Brady over the years has been so tremendous and we are honored to be the first recipient under Brady Shines.”
An internal committee at Brady is being formed to review future donation opportunities while a formal application process is in development to launch in Summer 2017.
