Brady has announced the beneficiaries from the ninth grant cycle of “Brady Shines,” the janitorial supply, equipment and foodservice distributor’s charitable giving initiative.
Brady Shines was launched in 2017 in celebration of the company’s 70th anniversary. This latest grant cycle, which ran from September to November 2019, received more than 100 applications and benefits education and youth-based organizations.
The recipients include:
Four C Inspire, Aztec, New Mexico
Funds granted support the organization’s social and emotional learning programs which empower middle and high school students to achieve academic success by encouraging self-esteem, respect and leadership.
Good SamariTots, South Pasadena, California
Grant dollars will go to the assembly of 100 breakfast and 100 lunch meal packs for students in need.
Meridian Middle School, Meridian, Idaho
In a school where almost half of the students are on subsidized programs, grant dollars will help provide proper footwear to the school’s robust wrestling program.
Head Start — Northern Arizona, Flagstaff, Arizona
Funds will be used in a curriculum for pre-school children aged 3 to 5 that include books, activity CDs and other supplies. The goal of the program is to impart healthy habits to these children to give them a strong foundation for school readiness.
“These deserving organizations embody the spirit in which Brady Shines was created,” says Travis Brady, president and CEO. “We are honored to support these programs that provide fundamentals to our communities.”
Brady Shines’ latest grant cycle, which focuses on supporting disabled persons, launched Dec. 1, 2019 and will accept applications through Feb. 29, 2020. Non-profits in all Brady geographic territories – now including Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma – focused on education- and youth-based programs are invited to submit grant proposals for consideration.
