The Eaton Fire in Altadena, California, began on January 7 and surged for 24 days before it was contained on January 31. During that time, it destroyed over 9,000 structures, including more than 6,000 homes, and damaged more than 1,700 more.
In the wake of this devastation, a group from BradyPLUS came together to lend a helping hand and support the community in a time of need. They assembled and delivered 850 backpacks filled with school supplies and Chromebooks across nine locations in Altadena and Pasadena to provide some relief and support to students as they resume their studies.
According to KCAL News reporting, BradyPLUS also handed out 50 donated printers and 30 first aid kits. The supplies were distributed to both educators and students at several school campuses.
In a social post, BradyPLUS wrote: "Shout-out to Pasadena Rosebud Academy, Saint Mark's School, Altadena, Harambee Ministries After School in Pasadena, Altadena Elementary, Eliot Arts Middle School in Altadena, the YMCA of West San Gabriel Valley (3 locations), and the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena for helping to make this happen! Thank you to KCAL News for highlighting ways that others in the community can still get involved during the clean-up and rebuilding process."
