Musser’s Cleaning & Restoration, based in Saint Joseph, Mo, is celebrating 50 years in business by embracing new technology, according to an article on the News-Press Now website.

The family-owned and -operated company was started by the late John Musser when he was still in high school in 1967.

He started with cleaning offices and hard-surface floors and moved on to cleaning carpet.

In those early years, Musser discovered a new portable cleaning method using the “Green Machine.”

“That service was a service much needed in the area, and we became pretty busy, slowly fading out of the office cleaning and concentrating on building a customer base with cleaning carpet,” John Musser's wife, Donna Musser, said.

Through the years, John Musser would come home with the latest technology, have to convince his wife, and then made it successful, the article said.
