The Carpet and Rug Institute's Seal of Approval testing and certification program for carpet cleaning supplies and equipment welcomes a group of new products and participants.
The participants include:
PowrFlite, a division of Tacony Corporation, Ft. Worth, Texas, received SOA Gold recognition for four commercial backpack vacuums; models BP6P, BP6S, BP10P and BP10S;
Oreck Manufacturing, Plymouth, Mass., has earned SOA recognition at many levels, starting with its household upright model U2000RB2L-1 Oreck XL earning Gold approval. The household upright BU10000 Touch Bagless and BU10010 Touch Bagless with HEPA filter, along with other household upright models LW1500 Magnesium RS and LW1250, both with the HEPA Odor Fighter, all received SOA Silver approval. The bagless VersaVac with HEPA filter received SOA Bronze.;
Chem-Dry, Logan, Utah has achieved SOA Bronze Level status on its KB-4 prespray and Platinum SOA status on their CTS-Direct Drive with PowerHead, XTS-Crossover with PowerHead, XTS Crossover Truck Mount with XTS and truck-base equipment, and XTS Satellite-based equipment with Chem-Dry Crossover Portable System models; and
Dustbane Products Limited, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, earned SOA Bronze Level status on their portable extractor, Dustbane 1200XT-100.
The Seal of Approval program now stands at 366 solutions, 417 vacuums, 94 deep-cleaning extractors and 103 systems for a total 980, according to a Carpet and Rug Institute release.
