businessman survey the market the world to expansion

Contec, Inc. CEO Jack McBride announced the purchase of a 362,774-square-foot distribution center in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Contec will utilize half of the building as a distribution center with the other half being leased to another local company that services BMW Manufacturing. Located in the Flatwood Industrial Park 9 miles from the company’s two manufacturing facilities, the building is convenient to both I-85 and I-26, as well as the SC inland port.

With 38 dock bays and room for expansion, this building will house Shipping and Receiving operations and serve as storage for both raw materials and finished goods. The acquisition of this building will make room for additional manufacturing capacity in our Wingo Park facility.

“The distribution center will need to be customized for our purposes. We expect this to be completed at the end of Q3,” says Contec president Avi Lawrence.
