It’s always nice to see frontline workers get love, even if it’s by the luck of the draw. Last week in West Virginia, Gov. Jim Justice surprised a young man at his job at Greenbrier West High School with a life-changing opportunity today through his “Do it for Babydog: Round 2” Vaccination Sweepstakes.
The Governor and Babydog arrived at the school to surprise Waylon Gilkeson from Rupert, a custodian at GWHS, with a full-ride college scholarship.
The full four-year scholarship to any public college or university in the state, includes room and board, tuition, and books. The prize is valued at over $100,000.
Gilkeson says he plans to go to college with hopes of becoming an educator himself one day.
