DTZ, an international property services firm, has appointed Agnes Estes as global head of marketing and communications.
In her role, Estes will lead DTZ's global marketing and communications functions including brand positioning, corporate marketing, corporate communications and digital strategies. She will serve on the company's global executive committee and report to Global Chief Executive Officer, Tod Lickerman. She will be based in DTZ's global headquarters in Chicago, Illinois.
"We are pleased to welcome Agnes to DTZ's executive team," said Lickerman. "Agnes' broad marketing communications experience with global Fortune 100 companies, make her the ideal candidate to lead our global brand strategy at a time when DTZ is poised for accelerated growth worldwide."
Estes' appointment comes at the launch of a new expansion for DTZ, following the recent agreement between DTZ's parent company UGL and TPG and PAG Consortium for the sale of DTZ to the private equity consortium. Mary Tamaki, who has been the acting global director of marketing, will assume the role of Head of DTZ's marketing and communications for the Americas.
"DTZ is an industry leader with a clear vision, a client-centric culture and unmatched potential for growth," said Estes. "I'm thrilled to be joining the company at such an exciting time and honored to be leading its talented global marketing team."
Estes joins DTZ from Edelman, the world's largest public relations firm, where she served as senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications and led several award-winning integrated marketing communication strategies for clients that included Humana, GE Transportation, Pfizer and Roche Diagnostics.
Prior to Edelman, Estes served as vice president and senior manager of marketing communications for BMO Harris Bank, where she led external marketing communications campaigns and internal change management initiatives. Earlier in her career Estes held a number of corporate relations positions of increasing responsibility at Allstate Corporation where she drove the company's corporate positioning efforts.
Estes earned her master's in Integrated marketing communications from Northwestern University and her bachelor's in communications and french from the University of Michigan.
