Dave Haataja, Water Quality Association’s (WQA’s) Executive Director, has accepted a seat on The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) Advisory Board.
 
As executive director of WQA, Haataja is working to ensure that water treatment products and services in homes and facilities provide safe and healthy options for users.
 
“We are pleased to have Mr. Haataja on our advisory, because water quality for drinking and other purposes is fundamental to a healthy facility. Dave’s role and experience both with WQA and prior to that, will be a great addition to the robust expertise represented by the HFI Advisory Board,” said Allen Rathey, founder and president of HFI.
 
Haataja brings more than 30 years of business development and operations leadership experience to WQA.  Prior to joining WQA, he was the Vice President for North America Operations for Consumer and Health Sciences at Underwriters Laboratories (UL). With him comes in-depth knowledge of global standards, testing, inspection, certification, and regulatory acceptance. Haataja's career also spans a four year posting in Washington DC working with regulatory agencies, trade associations, the Department of Commerce, and the Office of the United States Trade Representative.
