Managemen is providing a training opportunity that covers disaster and emergency preparedness. The education will take place in Nashville, Tenn., January 27-29, 2014, at the Restoration Sciences Academy.

Attendees will learn critical skills necessary to prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters and emergencies utilizing the science based (OS1) process.  This program focuses on key areas of planning, including how to secure contingency resources for major disaster related events.  The processes related to recovery, including safety, are also defined and applied during the program.  Additionally, attendees will learn how to assess events and determine what responses are best managed internally, and when external resources should be deployed.

Live flood recovery efforts conducted on site will utilize the (OS1) Disaster and Emergency Response Kit, allowing participants to apply important principles and observe the dramatic recovery achieved when the (OS1) process is employed. Program registration includes lodging, breakfast, lunch and on site transportation.
