Diversey, A Solenis Company, announced it will fund 18 $1,000 scholarships for infection prevention professionals to attend the 2024 Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Conference. The conference takes place June 3-5, 2024, in San Antonio, TX. In past years, more than 5,000 people attended the annual conference, including more than 2,500 clinical professionals. The deadline to apply for the Diversey scholarship is Friday, March 1, and winners will be notified by March 22.
“The APIC conference represents an outstanding education and networking event for infection prevention professionals, and many potential attendees may have to forgo attending due to budget constraints within their organizations,” says Carolyn Cooke, vice president Healthcare North America, Diversey. “We’re excited to provide these scholarships so that more dedicated professionals can expand their knowledge, collaborate and build relationships in order to create safer and more satisfying environments of care.”
Diversey will fund up to $1,000 to 18 scholarship winners who choose to attend the conference in-person. These funds can be used toward registration and travel expenses.
To be selected, nominees must be currently working in the Infection Prevention field. As part of the selection process, nominees must share details of their engagement in a project or program that contributed to preventing infection or improving patient safety. Winners will have the chance to experience the conference's benefits, including educational sessions, networking with other professionals, and learning about the latest ideas and innovations in the field.
