Fourteen Jersey City residents graduated from the Community Partnerships in Hotel Employment program, with WomenRising Inc. and Hudson County Community College with the skills necessary to work in hospitality. Completing the program qualifies these individuals to work in front desk and housekeeping positions at hotels.
According to an article from The Jersey Journal, in addition to the 15 weeks of learning such skills as customer service and budgeting basics, each graduate had to pass three certification tests developed by the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
