Epicor Software Corporation is hosting the largest global customer conference in the company’s 40-year history, Insights 2012. Epicor expects to welcome more than 3,000 users of its enterprise resource planning (ERP), human capital management (HCM), and retail solutions to Caesars Palace Las Vegas, May 6-9. The global conference hosted by Epicor president and CEO Pervez Qureshi, represents the combination of the former Epicor Perspectives and Activant Summit into a single event encompassing the entire business value chain -- from supply through to demand.
“For the first time, we are bringing together all parts of the extended value chain to interact and learn from each other,” said Qureshi. “Insights 2012 will offer more opportunities for our customers worldwide to network across products and industries. We are incredibly excited to invite everyone to get informed and inspired by exploring new technologies and products, exchange insights and strategies for driving performance and productivity throughout their business.”
Insights 2012 will feature manufacturing, distribution, retail and services industry leaders offering perspectives on a wide range of topics including cloud computing, customer service and segmentation, enterprise IT management, human capital management, industrial manufacturing, integrated supply, sales and marketing optimization, strategic pricing, and more.
Peter Diamandis, chairman and CEO of the X PRIZE Foundation, will provide the Monday, May 7, keynote address on technology and how to spur innovation in your business.. Diamandis is a key figure in the development of the personal spaceflight industry, and winner of the 2007 Arthur C. Clarke Award for Innovation, the 2006 (inaugural) Heinlein Award, the 2006 Lindbergh Award, the 2006 Wired RAVE Award, and the 2006 Neil Armstrong Award for Aerospace Achievement and Leadership. He has created many space-related organizations, including the X PRIZE Foundation, an educational nonprofit prize institute whose mission is “to create radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity.” The foundation is best known for the Ansari X Prize, a competition to launch a reusable, manned spacecraft into space twice within two weeks. This was the first private-sector manned spaceflight.
Geoff Colvin, senior editor-at-large, FORTUNE Magazine and author, Talent is Overated, will provide the Tuesday, May 8 keynote address. An award-winning thinker, author, broadcaster, and speaker on today’s most significant trends in business, Colvin has become one of America’s sharpest and most respected commentators on leadership, globalization, wealth creation, the infotech revolution, and related issues. His groundbreaking bestseller, Talent Is Overrated: What Really Separates World-Class Performers From Everybody Else, received the Harold A. Longman Award for Best Business Book of the Year and has been published in a dozen languages. Colvin was also named one of the 100 most influential figures in corporate governance by Directorship magazine. He has engaged hundreds of audiences on six continents, and is a skilled on-stage interviewer whose subjects have included Jack Welch, Henry Kissinger, Richard Branson, the Prince of Wales, Bill Gates, Alan Greenspan, Steve Case, Ted Turner, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and many others.
Other Insights keynote presentations will be given by Epicor President and CEO Pervez Qureshi, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer John Hiraoka, EVP and General Manager Kevin Roach, EVP of Research and Development Paul Farrell, and Vice President Retail Product Marketing Ian Rawlins.
In addition, Emmy award-winning comedian Dana Carvey will perform at the conference on Tuesday night, May 8. He became a regular on “Saturday Night Live “in 1986, and spent seven very successful seasons establishing his best-known characters: The Church Lady, Hans from bodybuilding duo Hans and Franz, Grumpy Old Man, and Garth, the Most Excellent Co-Host to Mike Myers in the immensely popular “Wayne’s World.” In addition to these characters, Carvey has received widespread praise for his uncanny comedic impersonations of such political figures as George and George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Ross Perot and Ronald Reagan, as well as Johnny Carson, Andy Rooney, Regis Philbin and Casey Kasem, as seen on “SNL,” his HBO special, and on Jay Leno and David Letterman.
Epicor customers will also have the opportunity to select from dedicated education tracks focused specifically on their products and solutions. A Solutions Pavilion will highlight new and add-on products and services, Epicor partners’ booths, and hands-on troubleshooting to address individual questions.
