Essendant Announces Interim CEO

Harry Dochelli announced in May that he made the personal decision to retire as president and CEO of Essendant following a successful 12-year tenure with the company and a more than 30-year career in the industry. He will be missed but the company wishes him good health and happiness in this next chapter. Harry will stay on as an advisor to the Essendant Leadership Team until December 31, 2024.

Essendant welcomes David Boone, former CEO of Staples Canada, who was named as interim CEO of Essendant. He brings more than 30 years of proven business leadership experience, including numerous key management roles with a focus on the needs of customers and business partners.

Moving forward, the company remains focused on their mission mission to deliver “The Better Way to Commerce” while developing and executing new and innovative growth opportunities. Customer-centric service also remains a core value. Essendant will continue to support customers’ businesses and partner with suppliers as part of its category strategy.
