Summer kicked off in the United States, with five times higher levels of COVID-19 cases compared to this same time last year, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data. Cases continue to rise in the country by the aggressively contagious Omicron sub-variants BA.4, BA.5, and local health authorities already foresee spikes after the July 4th celebration. 

"Although many safety measures have been decreased with vaccination and the new studies on transmissibility, the cleanliness standards that were established with the pandemic will remain," says Dija Ziane, head of Facility Services Division at GRUPO EULEN, specialized in Aviation and Facility Services, including Sanitizing & Electrostatic Disinfecting (COVID-19) Services.

Cleaning for Health: A Rising Trend

The global cleaning services market is forecasted to exceed $462 billion, growing at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 11.5 percent from 2021 to 2028, according to a study by Research Dive.

The analysis estimates that while the commercial sub-segment will maintain a large market share, the healthcare and education markets are rapidly catching up with the rise of awareness and increasing requirement for proper cleaning and sanitization.
