FBG Service Corporation, a full-service commercial janitorial and facility maintenance company, has presented its “District of the Year” Award to the company’s Omaha District, announced company President Terri Gogetap. The selection was based on key performance indicators such as safety, customer satisfaction and growth.
“As our largest office, the Omaha District experienced steady growth last year while introducing several new programs, which empower area managers and supervisors to identify employees with potential for advancement,” Gogetap explained. “Last year, 52 employees completed the ‘Come Grow With Us’ training program to prepare them for managerial opportunities that become available as new accounts are added.”
Operating out of FBG’s corporate headquarters, the Omaha District is an incubator for pilot programs before they’re introduced to other offices, according to Omaha District Manager Diane McCutcheon. “We design every program to fit our customers’ needs and budgets,” she observed. “By the time these programs are ready to roll out to other districts, they’ve been thoroughly tested and improved upon.”
Both Gogetap and McCutcheon credit the success of the Omaha District to a solid business model and a corporate culture built on teamwork that recognizes employees for exceptional work. “When employees see good work being acknowledged and rewarded, it becomes contagious,” McCutcheon added.
The Western Trails District in Lincoln was last year’s “District of the Year” Award winner.
