Sealed Air’s Diversey Care division announced a final call for submissions for $1,000 educational scholarships to help cover the costs to attend the 2015 Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Conference. The 42nd annual conference will be held at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tenn., June 27-29, and will welcome more than 2,600 clinical professionals. Applications for Diversey Care’s 15 educational scholarships are due April 10, and winners will be notified by April 24.
“The field of infection prevention is continuously evolving to address emerging pathogens and superbugs, so infection preventionists need to stay on top of best practices for reducing risk,” said Carolyn Cooke, Vice President Healthcare North America, Diversey Care. “The APIC conference provides an opportunity to learn, network and share experiences with others in the field in order to create safer patient environments. We’re thrilled to provide these educational scholarships to help deserving professionals meet travel and conference expenses.”
Applicants must be currently employed in an infection prevention role and demonstrate active engagement. They should highlight a project that led to increased patient safety and/or improved staff engagement and satisfaction through cleaning and disinfection processes. Entries should also include how attending the conference will help build the applicants’ infection prevention skill set.
