Businesses in the janitorial industry can get help implementing or improving their safety standards and procedures at work though a free resource provided by the United States Department Of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

OSHA recently updated its guidelines for safety and health programs for the first time in decades, and is now encouraging businesses to participate in its “On-Site Consulting Program.” The program offers free assistance to company’s hoping to better comply with OSHA standards, fix hazards and establish a health and safety program.

The on-site consultation specifically helps to improve workplace safety, amid workers’ compensation claims and increase productivity, says OSHA in a press release.
