Green Seal announced it is extending the public comment period for proposed revisions to the GS-52 and GS-53 standards. The deadline has been extended to 8 p.m. EST, on Friday, February 14, 2014.

Green Seal is inviting the public to participate in the development of proposed revisions to the Green Seal Standards for Specialty Cleaning Products, GS-52 (Household) and GS-53 (Industrial and Institutional).

Revisions are proposed to the following criteria in these standards:

*   Asthmagens and Respiratory Sensitizers
*   Carcinogen Releasers
*   Dermal Toxicity
*   Chronic Aquatic Toxicity and Antimicrobial Agents
*   Energy, Air, Water, and Waste; and Distribution
*   Fragrance Disclosure and Labeling
*   Annex E- Microorganisms
*   Packaging Sustainability Requirements
*   Appendix 1- Scope
*   Additional editorial changes
