Guardian Service Industries, Inc. (Guardian), one of New York’s oldest, privately-held corporations, announced with great sadness the passing of Harold Bressler, chairman emeritus, at the age of 91, of natural causes.
Bressler served as chairman of the board of the company since the 1945. He remained actively involved in the company until his passing.
"Dad’s foresight and business acumen were recognized throughout the industry," says Alan Bressler, chief operating officer. "He was very well liked and respected by all that knew him.”
"Harold will long be remembered as a man of great vision," says Sandy Herzfeld, chief executive officer. "He had great success in business, while always maintaining his civic and charitable endeavors, but more importantly, he will be remembered as a man of wonderful competitive spirit, generosity and absolute integrity."
Bressler is survived by his children: Ricki and Sandy Herzfeld, Ilene Bressler, and Alan and Rossanna Bressler, and was a loving grandfather of Leah, Sam, Jeremy, Matthew, Julia, Lyn and Zoe, and great grandfather of Max and Nate.
Mr. Bressler's funeral was held on August 29th.
