HP Products Corporation of Indianapolis, IN has announced that they have completed the acquisition of Renard Paper Company of St. Louis, Missouri.

“We are very excited to have combined the wonderful people of Renard into our family.  This acquisition will double our size in the St. Louis marketplace, and this is an excellent compliment to our business base that we established here in 1987”, remarked D. Ames Shuel, Chairman of HP Products.  “The product lines are complementary, and our expertise in the sanitary maintenance, packaging, safety, lighting, textiles, and laundry/dietary segments will bring a wealth of opportunities for our customers.  We are committed to this market, and plan to expand rapidly in the coming years.”

Renard Paper/HP is a distributor of industrial and commercial cleaning products, paper, equipment, foodservice, and chemicals in the greater St. Louis area, founded in 1953 by Henri Renard.  HP Products presently services six states in the Midwest, and is the second-largest independent distributor of its goods and services in the country.

“Our strength is our people”, said Bridget Shuel-Walker, President of HP Products.  “Renard is a respected and well-established company in St. Louis, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand in the marketplace.  We will invigorate Renard Paper with a greatly expanded product line and exceptional service.  It’s our intention to continue to invest in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.  The sales team of Renard Paper will remain in place and be further enhanced with additional personnel in the near future.”

David Renard, President of Renard Paper, said “this is a perfect combination of forces for the St. Louis market.  HP will provide the expertise in the varied segments that we currently don’t sell, and we can vastly strengthen our position in our current customers.  The fact that we are still a family-owned business is a huge asset to the community.”
