HP Products Corporation has announced the completion of a corporate merger with U.S. Safety Depot of Greenwood, Ind., according to a company release.

According to a company release, the merger is expected to strengthen the company’s growing Safety Division. U.S. Safety Depot will bring to HP Products not only a more diverse product line within the safety segment, but also an expansive offering of safety services, consulting and risk management. Their team of degreed experts offers the safety consulting and training support necessary to provide world-class safety audits and compliance programs, in addition to turn-key solutions in worker safety product vending and reconditioning programs.

“We are very pleased to have the wonderful people of U.S. Safety Depot join our family. This merger will bring a new addition in safety consulting services to HP, further strengthening our expertise in this field. We feel that our distribution footprint and warehousing capabilities greatly enhance our market position in the Midwest, and Kent’s team will be an invaluable asset for our future," said Bridget Shuel-Walker, HP Products president and CEO. “Our present focus in facility supplies, packaging, safety, lighting, textiles, food and beverage, and laundry/dietary segments lend themselves well to U.S. Safety Depot’s present customer base.”

Kent Huber, president of U.S. Safety Depot added, “This is a perfect combination of forces for the safety industry. HP will provide the expertise in the varied segments that we currently do not sell, and we can vastly strengthen our value to our current customers through logistic support and economies of scale. The fact that we are still a local family-owned business is a huge asset to the community. We are strongly committed to the safety segment, and plan to expand rapidly in the coming years.”
