H.T. Berry Company, Canton, Mass., recently installed photovoltaic solar panels atop its 100,000 square foot warehouse in a bold effort to maximize efficiencies and minimize its environmental footprint.
“Being an eco-conscious company means more than just doing what’s right for the planet,” says Chris Nolan, President of H.T. Berry. “True sustainability takes a holistic view – analyzing all aspects that affect the social, economic and environmental impacts on our employees, our customers and the communities we serve.”
In addition to serving on the Building Owners & Managers Association’s (BOMA) Green Committee and as a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, H.T. Berry has also developed the Sustainable Solutions platform that gives Boston area businesses a roadmap on how to successfully bridge environmental objectives and total-cost savings.
In a show of customer loyalty, community support and environmental stewardship, H.T. Berry will host a Customer Appreciation & Earth Day Celebration Event on Friday, April 13th to highlight its long-standing commitment toward protecting people and planet.
Attendees of the show will have opportunities to learn about emerging trends in sustainability through various industry-related breakout sessions, take part in roundtables to learn about new ‘green’ products, and be included for a chance to win prizes throughout the day.
