Harvard Maintenance, is joining six other organizations in the contract cleaning sector to establish the newly formed Cleaning Coalition of America, the Miami-based company announces via press release.

The coalition represents the needs of an often-overlooked sector playing a vital role keeping essential services operating during the COVID-19 crisis. As the country moves past this crisis to get back to the new normal, the contract cleaning sector and its essential workers will continue to be on the front lines. Commercial cleaners will be disinfecting workspaces, schools, day care facilities, airports and airplanes, shopping centers and other commercial and public spaces to prepare them for widespread use, re- establishing the public’s trust in the society’s infrastructure. 

“Harvard Maintenance is proud to be a founding member of the Cleaning Coalition of America,” says Stanley K. Doobin, owner and president of Harvard Maintenance. “Now, more than ever, the building services industry and its workers need advocates to ensure cleaners who maintain commercial buildings are healthy and safe, so America can return to a sense of normalcy and restart the American economy.” 

Harvard is also proud to announce that its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, W. Carl Drew, has been elected treasurer of the coalition. 

“Businesses depend on professional cleaners to ensure the safety of their workplaces, says Drew. “Professional cleaners have always been important to efficient building operations and now become absolutely critical given the fight against COVID-19.” 

What the coalition supports - advocating for the contract cleaning sector and its cleaners - aligns with the practices and beliefs of Harvard, says Nathalie Doobin, owner and CEO of Harvard Services Group, a woman-owned certified building service contractor and a building service Contractor Association International (BSCAI) director. “It’s amazing to see fierce competitors unite to support commercial cleaners across the country”.
