Healthy Green Schools & Colleges is seeking facility management professionals' help creating a new standard for certifying facility management practices in K-12 schools and higher education institutions.
According to Healthy Green Schools & Colleges, the science-based standard will involve cleaning, disinfecting, the monitoring of indoor air quality, HVAC maintenance and sustainable purchasing. The standard is part of a larger program involving certificating, peer-to-peer sharing, and resources.
Healthy Green Schools & Colleges hopes facility management leaders at K-12 school districts, colleges and universities will provide guidance and feedback during the developing of the program as its founding members.
An informational session on the program will be held Friday. For more information on that session, click here.
