Missouri-based Hilllyard, a distributor of jan/san products and a manufacturer of gym floor coatings, announced the company will supply the NCAA basketball games with its official floor mop.
The mop is a large articulating mop designed to quickly and completely remove sweat and moisture from basketball courts as well as other playing surfaces. When sweat and moisture create slick spots, student-athletes may be exposed to potentially dangerous situations where they slip and get injured. It quickly removes the moisture, enhancing safety on the courts for student athletes.
According to Hillyard President Bob Roth: "We have a rich heritage in the game of basketball. Our gym finishes are used all over the country protecting gym floors and the competing athletes. We're honored that our mop continues to be the official floor mop of NCAA Basketball."
Hillyard, an official NCAA licensee, will provide its mop for use at all 2014 NCAA Divisions I, II, III Men's and Women's Basketball Championships, the company adds.
