Hill & Markes, a family-owned wholesale distributor, donated over $1,000 in funds and gifts for City Mission of Schenectady during holiday season. The company fundraised through its Community Cares merchandise store and through the generosity of their employees and ownership.

“As we head into this New Year, we are so grateful for amazing friends like Hill & Markes who helped to make this Christmas season very special for our residents,” said Jessica Toomajian, director of Annual Fund at City Mission. “After a very difficult year, I think having presents to open at Christmastime meant even more than usual for the men, women and children we serve. We appreciate Hill & Markes for taking the time during this busy time of year to shop and put together these wonderful packages for our residents.”

Lifting the community is important to the Hill & Markes mission and remains a core pillar of the company. Hill & Markes is always looking to partner with local organizations and businesses that provide helpful resources to community members.

“As a Hill & Markes customer, we have seen the quality of the products they provide us. Even more importantly, as a community organization, we have seen their hearts for helping our neighbors in need and making a difference in the lives of the people we serve,” said Mike Saccocio, executive director at City Mission. “Through providing Christmas gifts for local families, donating specialized cleaning equipment and supporting fundraising events, we are grateful for our partnership with Hill & Markes."
