The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its board of trustees. Nancy Johnson Sanquist, Judy Leyshon and Brian B. Ostrowe, CFM began two-year terms July 1, 2013. IFMA Foundation trustees are responsible for managing the foundation and directing its efforts to serve the facility management profession though academics, research and scholarships.

“The IFMA Foundation has benefited tremendously from strong leadership,” said Jeffrey J. Tafel, Executive Director of the IFMA Foundation. “The addition of three more tremendously qualified and well-respected trustees will enable us to maintain that tradition in coming years.”

Below is biographical information for each of the three new trustees:

Nancy Johnson Sanquist, IFMA Fellow
Vice President
Manhattan Software

Johnson Sanquist serves as part of a global team responsible for product marketing and communication for Manhattan Software. She works closely with sales and other Manhattan executives to reach out to potential new customers, in addition to creating thought leadership. Johnson Sanquist has been an IFMA Fellow since 1996. She frequently presents at IFMA events, including World Workplace Conference and Expo and Facility Fusion Conference and Expo, as well as various FM events around the world. She has also published several articles in IFMA’s well-read FMJ magazine and received the Distinguished Author award with co-editor Diane Coles Levine for their article, “Work on the Move,” in 2012.

Judy Leyshon
Senior Facilities Manager
CBRE, Inc.

As senior facilities manager, Leyshon is responsible for four direct sites and 47 advisory sites spread across 11 different states in the United States and covering 3.8 million square feet. She is heavily involved with the IFMA Denver Chapter, having served as president, vice president, treasurer and government affairs chair. She also serves on the Education Committee for IFMA headquarters.

Brian B. Ostrowe, CFM
Licensed Real Estate Salesperson
BOSS Group – Principal, Consultant

Ostrowe assists clients with the purchase, lease or sale of properties in New York City. He also provides business operations solutions as a consultant on the subjects of real estate, strategic planning, new business development, facility management and cost control. Ostrowe has served on the executive board of the New York City Chapter for longer than any other board member. He is currently serving as president for the second time, previously having served as treasurer, vice president and immediate past president. He also serves as co-chair of the IFMA New York Chapter Certified Facility Manager exam preparation group to help professionals prepare for the CFM exam.
