The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has hired Jan Waugh to serve as director of membership. IFMA’s growing membership of just under 24,000 facility management professionals and related industries covers 96 countries around the world. In November 2013, IFMA was listed as one of the Houston area’s top 100 places to work among small businesses by the Houston Chronicle.
“IFMA is strongly motivated to serve the varied needs of its members, and to increase the value of membership overall,” said Waugh. “It is my intention, and IFMA’s goal, to see that our members continue to receive the best possible service, and take advantage of opportunities to connect and learn through the larger community. We want to keep the IFMA experience compelling.”
Waugh brings a strong track record of member service and component relations experience. She served for more than 20 years as director of member services for the Chicago-area based Association of Legal Administrators, an international association of law firm managers. Prior to that she served as facilities manager for a large law firm in Des Moines, Iowa. Waugh is a fellow in the College of Law Practice Management, an honorary organization that sets the standards of achievement for the law practice management profession.
IFMA is an international association for facility management professionals. It certifies professionals in facility management, conducts research, provides educational programs and produces World Workplace, the world's largest facility management conference and exposition.
