ISSA announced that it has expanded its ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America trade show hours in response to attendee and exhibitor demand for more time to network and share new innovation. The event is produced by ISSA and its trade show partner, Amsterdam RAI.
Starting at the 2013 event, this November 18-21 in Las Vegas, there will be additional hours built into the week’s three-day trade show schedule. The expansion is the result of a large response in attendee convention surveys reporting there was not enough time on the show floor to conduct meetings and visit the more than 650 exhibitors participating in the event each year. The ISSA/INTERCLEAN committee, made up of a mix of the most senior, large and small, non board-member attendees and exhibitors, also made the recommendation.
When making travel plans, visitors also will want to pay special attention to the days of the week during which ISSA/INTERCLEAN and the ISSA Convention will take place in 2013. This year will follow a Monday through Thursday schedule, based on the convention center’s availability. New interactive tools will be available after registration opens in May to make planning even easier for attendees.
“We are pleased to better meet attendee needs and to provide additional return on their investment,” says ISSA Executive Director John Garfinkel, “In a year where the theme is ‘My Show. My Value,’ it is fitting that buyers and exhibitors can take advantage of more show and more value.”
Another new feature that will help attendees conduct more business at ISSA/INTERCLEAN is a new area where they can secure private meeting space or connect with peers in a central lounge located on the trade show floor.
In addition to the full week of educational offerings, ISSA is offering three days of keynote addresses. They will feature a mix of motivational executive advice and entertainment speakers. Attendees will hear from the inspirational speaker and former Blue Angel pilot John Foley, Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh, and world-renown magician and endurance artist David Blaine. This year’s keynotes are even more unique as they will be hosted on the trade show floor, allowing attendees faster access to the exhibits and further centralizing the event.
Co-location partner, Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), also will host Contractor Day at the show, Thursday, November 21. There will be a number of contractor-specific opportunities available for attendees (more details will be available from BSCAI in June).
IEHA and the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI) also will return in 2013 to co-locate their annual events with ISSA/INTERCLEAN while additional distributor marketing groups will hold events throughout the week.
