The ISSA Hygieia Network, an ISSA Charities signature program dedicated to the advancement and retention of women in the cleaning industry, announced that it will host its fifth annual Awards Reception on Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bellagio Hotel during the ISSA Show North America Las Vegas 2019. Those who wish to attend can register on the ISSA Show website.

“For five years, Hygieia has been on a mission to provide the necessary programs, tools and support that enable all women in the cleaning industry to accelerate their careers and achieve their full potential,” says Meredith Reuben, chairwoman of the ISSA Hygieia Network. “After the launch of our Mentoring Program, Hygieia participation has doubled in size and we look forward to sharing our newest initiatives during this year’s event.”

The ceremony will feature keynote speaker, Kathy Walters, former executive vice president of Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products, along with an informative presentation by the leading women of the Hygieia Council. After the awards and scholarship winners have been announced, the event will lead into an inclusive networking hour with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

The ISSA Hygieia Network Awards were founded to recognize individuals and organizations who have made a significant contribution to the global cleaning industry. Nominations will be evaluated by the Hygieia Council and a select group of jury members.

The two award categories include:

1. The Hygieia Member of the Year, which recognizes the ISSA Hygieia Network member’s involvement (individual or company) in activities that fulfill one or more of the organization’s goals and objectives.

2. The Rising Star of the Year, which honors a woman aged 45 or younger who has made achievements and demonstrated consistent upward mobility in her career within the industry.

The ISSA Hygieia Network is now accepting award nominations and invites the public to submit nominees online now through Oct. 18, 2019 at www.hygieianetwork.org.
