Every company wants to do business safely, but that’s unfortunately not always how things are done. Accidents at the workplace happen, and even more often poor worksite safety practices occur, as the United States Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety And Health Administration (OSHA) proves.

Recently, OSHA released a list of the 10 safety violations it has cited the most between Oct. 1, 2017 and Sept. 30, 2018. Three of these violations directly to commercial cleaning: 

  1. Hazard communication standard, general industry
  2. Ladders, construction
  3. Eye and face protection

According to OSHA’s website, the seven other most frequently cited standards pertain to: fall protection, scaffolding, respiratory protection, control of hazardous energy, powered industrial trucks, fall protection — training requirements and machinery and machine guarding.
