With its 2018 event just months away, Interclean Amsterdam has unveiled the full schedule for the exhibition – including the widely anticipated Healthcare Forum running alongside the show.
Running from 15-18 May 2018, Interclean Amsterdam will bring the professional cleaning and hygiene world together to showcase innovative products, services and solutions. It will also see industry experts share their knowledge in sessions and events across a number of stages, including the Interclean Stage, the InnovationLAB, the WasteLAB and the Healthcare Cleaning LAB.

"Innovation has always been the driving force behind Interclean Amsterdam. In fact, it was the number one reason for people attending at the 2016 event."

The Interclean Stage
The Interclean Stage (located in the Elicium Ballroom) will be central to the knowledge sharing and networking opportunities available to visitors throughout the show. It will feature a range of free educational sessions that will explore topics vital to the future of the professional cleaning and hygiene industry – including adapting to new regulations and standards, how to identify and implement innovation, and how to become part of the growing circular economy.
Also taking place on the Interclean Stage on day three, Thursday 17 May, will be the Healthcare Cleaning Satellite Symposium.
The InnovationLAB
Located in Hall 8, the InnovationLAB will be home to every single one of the Amsterdam Innovation Award nominated products, highlighting the best technology the show has to offer. Its stage will also host a range of free sessions – including seminars, workshops, discussions and presentations.
Sessions available at the InnovationLAB will include a seminar by Vincent Everts (a renowned trend watcher and technological innovator), the evolution of fragrance by Vectair, and the new role of supply chain and distribution by Amazon.
Other featured sessions will be the Amsterdam Innovation Award ceremony; the Facility Inspiration Arena, a special day of events dedicated to helping facilities managers improve their performance; and the Robot Arena where visitors can enjoy live demonstrations of the latest robot cleaners take on a series of challenges.
The WasteLAB
Located in Hall 7, the WasteLAB will host several seminars and workshops, including the Anatomy of the Waste Bin workshop. Here, attendees will be able to discover the secrets to reducing their waste footprint by exploring what goes into a waste bin, uncovering the items that could otherwise be recycled. The workshop will run throughout the show – giving visitors the chance to take a hands-on approach to learning more about how be a part of the circular economy.
The Healthcare Cleaning LAB
The Healthcare Cleaning LAB will offer a dedicated platform for sharing knowledge on best practice and innovation within the healthcare cleaning sector. This will include seminar sessions featuring industry leaders such as Ecolab and Diversey, and even a realistic hospital room mock-up that will host live product and technique demonstrations.
The Healthcare Cleaning Forum
On Wednesday 16 May, a unique Healthcare Cleaning Forum takes place alongside Interclean. The Forum, organized together with WHO and several Infection Prevention specialists, is an attempt to raise the profile of the importance of cleaning and disinfection in reducing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and improving patient safety.
It will offer a range of sessions that aim to bring the worlds of healthcare and cleaning closer together – improving communication between the two. This will include seminars on HAIs, education, staff-safety, and the newest research – as well as a chance to discuss the challenges of reducing antibiotic use in healthcare.
A €30 fee (roughly $36 US) will be charged for this full-day program.
