Jani-King's Gulf Coast regions are proof that the Department of Labor December jobs report is moving in the right direction, the company said.
In January, the commercial cleaning franchise Gulf Coast offices increased their overall employment number by 10%. In addition to the increase in jobs, Jani-King Gulf Coast will be opening full-time support offices in Alexandria and South Louisiana. Jani-King regional offices provide local franchisees and customers with commercial cleaning operations and administrative support in each market.
According to Chance Enmon, COO, Jani-King Gulf Coast, the new commercial cleaning jobs and regional office locations will allow the company and its franchisees to continue a path of success.
"We feel that having regional support offices in as many strategic geographic areas as possible gives our franchisees and customers an even higher level of support and fosters an environment for exponential growth," said Enmon. "This type of expansion gives us the opportunity to bring on additional support staff for those offices as well as additional corporate support personnel. We feel it is important to provide those regional office employees with the same level of support and service we provide our franchisees and that the level of growth we want to achieve cannot be accomplished without the right team members in place."
The International Franchise Association announced in January that sectors showing growth in the December jobs report mirror those sectors expected to be the leading drivers of employment in franchising in 2013. Many of those new jobs were in food service, health care, hospitality and construction — sectors with high concentrations of franchise businesses that are expected to grow in 2013 according to IFA's 2013 industry forecast.
The December jobs report showed the economy added 155,000 jobs last month.
