KBM Facility Solutions announced that it has been named the Class III, Supplier of the Year by the San Diego Regional Minority Supplier Development Council (MSDC) for the second consecutive year. The prestigious award was distributed at the 2012 Regional Supplier Development Award Gala, an event celebrating organizations that have made significant contributions to supplier diversity in the community.

“These awards truly distinguish the local businesses that take substantial strides to improve the diversity of their supply chain,” said Ronald Garnett, President of the San Diego Regional MSDC. “KBM has consistently proven their dedication to the community by fostering positive relationships with Minority Business Enterprises (MBE).”

As a certified MBE, KBM aims to create mutually beneficial partnerships with other minority and women-owned organizations in the community to increase economic vitality. KBM continuously encourages employees to embrace these diverse relationships by providing the highest levels of customer service and proactively communicating about business needs.

“Our long-term commitment to forming partnerships with diverse businesses has been vital to our success,” said Maureen Gray, Chief Executive Officer of KBM. “We are honored to receive this award again and will continue our dedication to our diverse partners by helping them meet their business objectives.”

The awards ceremony and jazz benefit concert concluded Supplier Diversity Achievement Week, the largest diversity business event of the year. KBM was nominated for excellence in supplier diversity by long-time client AT&T.
