Debut

Kemco Facilities Services announced the adoption of ICE Cobotics’ Cobi 18, a robotic floor scrubber, to be deployed at a top 100 hospital in the US.

Kemco, known for its commitment to simplified and cost-effective facilities management, is expanding its offerings by implementing autonomous solutions. By adding Cobi 18, an autonomous scrubber, Kemco can provide its clients with sophisticated solutions that improve cleaning efficiency.

Kemco is utilizing the cobot, a collaborative robot, at a hospital in the U.S. to support staff in achieving high standards of cleanliness. By adding Cobi to the team, Kemco sets itself apart from the competition and provides its clients with an offering that helps them stand out as innovative leaders.

“We were able to program Cobi 18 and train Kemco staff in just a couple of hours. Cobi was immediately addressing high traffic, high visibility areas of the hospital that demonstrate Kemco's commitment to innovation and the hospital facility team's commitment to a clean environment,” says Kris Dihrkop, director of Strategic Accounts at ICE Cobotics.

Cobi will work alongside Kemco’s cleaning staff by taking on repetitive floor cleaning, freeing up staff to focus on critical tasks that contribute to a hygienic environment and keep the hospital looking like a top 100 facility. This allows Kemco to focus on detailed tasks that add value to its offerings.

“We’re very happy with the cleanliness of the floors and the fact that Cobi deploys every morning at the same time and cleans the full area of the floors every day. It is providing us with a cleaner product at our hospital,” says Wesley Littlefield, VP of Building Services at Kemco Facilities Services.

Cobi 18’s effective cleaning power, compact size, and sophisticated navigation system make it ideal for Kemco to integrate into its cleaning offerings. Its ease of use makes it simple for any staff member to operate, which makes it ideal for any number of facilities. And, its effective cleaning power contributes to a cleaner and healthier hospital environment.
