Kutol Products Company has named Terry Murphy of Dutch Hollow Supply in Belleville, Ill. the grand prize winner in the Kutol “Wash-it-Away” photo contest winner with the cash prize of $500.

His winning photo was taken at a local police department in the fingerprinting room as a law enforcement officer was washing ink off his fingers.

The contest was launched last October in conjunction with Global Handwashing Day to encourage proper handwashing as Kutol distributors posted colorful mirror clings in restrooms across the country. Distributor sales reps competed for prizes by submitting creative photos of the mirror clings they posted in their accounts.

“Studies have shown that posting signage increases the likelihood that people will wash their hands properly,” says Dan Renner, Kutol marketing director. “We launched the Wash-it-Away contest to encourage proper handwashing as we headed into cold and flu season to help reduce the spread of illness.”

The Kutol Wash-it-Away Photo Contest concluded in January, 2014. To view all the winning monthly photos, visit www.Kutol-Wash-It-Away.com.
