Louis Lavin Sr., a veteran manufacturers’ representative, passed away on March 7 He was 97.

Lavin started his rep agency, LND Sales in 1976 representing companies such as White Mop Wringer Co, Glit Inc. and Superior Manufacturing Group.

He worked with his daughter, Nancy Lavin, for 10 years before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the ISSA and the MRA. He served on the New England Sanitary Supply Association Board of Directors and won many sales awards throughout his career.

Lavin is survived by his three children, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Doris Lavin.
