MBS Dev announced the appointment of Beckie Watson as Chief Technology Officer. Watson will be responsible for software development, quality assurance, documentation, and support for the company’s distribution technology suite, which is specialized for industries such as janitorial, industrial, and business supply to help distributors and resellers drive efficiency and maximize operating results.

Her deep software development and leadership background will contribute significantly as we scale our organization and product capabilities,” said Paul Hesser, Chief Operating Officer, MBS Dev. “The travel and financial services industries have strong ecom- merce adoption, and Beckie’s experience in those areas will be beneficial as we expand our ecommerce capabilities to the business products industries.”

Watson is a seasoned technology veteran with a history of delivering solutions that produce quality gains and innovation. A winner of the InformationWeek 500 Conference award for “Groundbreaking New Appli- cation” and the Computerworld Smithsonian Award (for individuals who have used technology to produce beneficial changes for society), she comes to MBS Dev from Charles Schwab, where she was vice president, Advisor Service Technology. Previously, she was vice president, Global Technology Services and vice president, New Business Development at Travelport, and has held technology leadership positions in travel distribution, healthcare, oil and gas and financial services. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Iowa State University.
