Mark San Fratello has been named Chief Executive Officer of Response Team 1, the nation’s second-largest residential and commercial property restoration and renovation company serving the continental U.S. from 49 strategic locations. He will be based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Wheeling, Ill.

San Fratello brings more than 30 years of experience with leading large cap consumer firms, middle market business services firms, and start-up ventures. As Chief Executive Officer of Response Team 1, San Fratello will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company while continuing to develop and drive the company’s many growth initiatives.

Prior to joining Response Team 1, San Fratello was President and Chief Executive Officer at Envirotest Systems.

Prior to that position, San Fratello was Chief Operating Officer for leading construction and event services provider United Site Services. During his tenure as COO, the company nearly tripled revenues over a three-year period through a combination of acquisitions and the creation of successful organic growth initiatives. San Fratello also previously held senior leadership positions at Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc., and leading large cap consumer firms.

Goense previously held the CEO position and will continue his responsibilities as Chairman, focusing attention on Response Team 1’s strategic direction and acquisitions that will continue to be a key part of the company’s growth strategy.

San Fratello holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York and a Master’s of Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.
