International Cleaning Week represents a unique opportunity to celebrate the value of cleaning, honor essential frontline cleaning industry professionals, and raise public awareness about the importance of creating healthy indoor environments for people to live, work, learn, and play. The celebration occurs annually during the last full week of March, which took place March 23-29, 2025.

Working with ISSA, Imperial Dade announced that Massachusetts Governor Maura T. Healey has officially recognized this important week by signing a statewide proclamation on March 13, 2025. This recognition underscores the essential role of the cleaning industry in protecting public health and supporting economic productivity.

As a leading provider of cleaning and facility solutions, Imperial Dade is dedicated to supporting frontline cleaning professionals and advocating for the industry’s vital contributions. The company provides high-quality products, expert training, and innovative solutions that enable businesses, schools, healthcare facilities, and other institutions to maintain safe, sanitary environments.

"The cleaning industry plays a crucial role in safeguarding public health, yet it often goes unrecognized. By securing this proclamation, we aim to raise awareness of the industry's impact and express our gratitude to the hardworking professionals who keep our spaces clean and safe every day," said Susanne Trotta, Vice President, Sales, Massachusetts, Imperial Dade. "We sincerely thank Governor Healey for recognizing the importance of International Cleaning Week and helping to elevate the industry's visibility within our state."

According to ISSA, properly cleaned and disinfected surfaces can reduce virus concentration by 41.7 percent and when combined with hand hygiene, this increases to 85.4 percent. Additionally, maintaining high cleanliness standards helps reduce workplace absenteeism and presenteeism, which cost businesses approximately $8.9 trillion globally due to lost productivity.
