Nassco is being honored as a 2014 “Future 50 Company” by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s Council of Small Business Executives (COSBE). The Future 50 Program awards this prestigious designation to fast-growing, privately owned companies that have shown significant revenue and employment growth, and have been in business more than three years.

“These companies truly represent the future of our region,” declared Mary Steinbrecher, executive director of COSBE. “We look forward to honoring these fast-growing companies and learning more about the best practices that are driving their growth,” indicated Dan Meyer, publisher of BizTimes Milwaukee.

Nassco has been a distributor and service provider to the janitorial and packaging market spaces for almost six decades and has grown steadily throughout that period. Driving Nassco’s rapid growth in recent years has been an intentional focus on delivering what they feel to be the single most important business need of their customer base – organizational productivity improvement.

According to Nassco President, Mark Melzer, “We have regular and ongoing conversations with customers about how we can best provide value for their organizations. Their feedback continues to affirm that, more than ever, their greatest needs will be met with products and services that address the areas of health, efficiency and productivity in their businesses. We bring this type of productivity to them through reduced operational costs, better processes, procedural training, and organizational resource management, to name just a few.”

As part of the evolution of their continuing growth, Nassco recently completed a corporate brand refresh, updating their logo and visual image to reflect who they are as a business today. Nassco’s new slogan, Where People and Productivity Meet, communicates their unique approach to helping organizations. “It’s not just our products and services that enable productivity,” indicated Melzer, “It’s as much about our personnel partnering with customers to find ways of operating their businesses more efficiently and profitably.”

Nassco’s growth over the past three years has further been accelerated by their acquisition of two other distributorships with complimentary industry experience and service values. The acquisition of Messner, Inc. in Madison, WI, was completed in November of 2012, and a 2013 merger with CTL (Call the Leader) in Wausau, WI brought the company’s full time employee count to approximately 150.

As part of their external brand communication effort as well as internal cultural guidance, Nassco also identified four ideas that they believe are core to their business, and which they expect to propel them toward continued future growth: The Nassco “brand pillars” are stated as:
    1.    We are Champions of Productivity
    2.    We are Solutions Providers
    3.    We are Customer Centric
    4.    We are Business Partners

Nassco will be honored publicly for their Future 50 Award by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s COSBE on September 11 at the annual Future 50 luncheon at Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.
