Van Sims, a Navy veteran, has opened Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services of Birmingham-Trussville, an independently owned and operated commercial cleaning franchise in Alabama.

Office Pride of Birmingham-Trussville provides routine janitorial services and a full range of commercial cleaning services to offices, medical facilities, schools, churches, banks and other commercial properties in Birmingham, Trussville and the surrounding areas. The franchise also offers specialty services such as floor stripping, carpet cleaning and electrostatic spray treatment, which disinfects common areas, personal spaces and hard-to-reach corners and crevices. Electrostatic sprayers are vital in the fight against COVID-19, flu and other respiratory illnesses.

A proud alumnus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Sims brings more than 25 years of experience in operations to his new position as owner and director of operations for his Office Pride location. He worked as district service manager with Acelity, a medical device company, for more than 21 years. He also previously was the onsite operations manager for Turner Supply, a distributor of maintenance, repair and operations products at Honda of Alabama manufacturing plant; and as operations manager with Processors Choice Inc., a food ingredient distributor.
